The Marcus Lemonis Birthday Interview
On your show “The Profit” you offer constructive suggestions and direction to a number of business in all different industries. Do you become an expert on the industry of whatever business that you are investing in first or do you have a natural gift of knowing what works regardless of the type of business?
Across the world, millions of people are part of collective-group hierarchies. Some of which include: religious, governmental, and educational institutions. In these collective-group hierarchies, a majority of the participants follow or adhere to the guidance and ruling of the individual(s) who reside at the top of these hierarchies. Because so many people take on similar roles (subservience, follower, assistant) within these hierarchies for long periods of time, it is natural to assume that this is a big reason why very few individuals don’t go into business for themselves or start companies where they are the top person? Are most people in your opinion conditioned to follow and not lead?
Do you find that people who have higher levels of insecurity, anxiety, or other mental health challenges tend to work harder and are more driven than people who are at peace with themselves?
You once ran for public office. What did that experience teach you? Do you find that people are more willing or less willing to hear the truth of the matter if you are a political leader or a business one?
