Since the Outer Limits of Inner Truth Radio Show began in 2014, we have wanted to interview famous skeptic James Randi. Despite repeated requests and the promise of a fair interview, he keeps turning us down. One may be asking “Why is a metaphysical / spiritual radio that features globally respected Psychic Mediums seeking to speak with a person who attacks psychics & people open to sixth sense?”
The answer is: The Pursuit of the Truth.
OLIT seeks truth wherever it may lie regardless of how light or dark that space is. In addition to the truth, we think Mr. Randi has raised a number of valid questions and he’s also quite funny at times. Mr. Randi’s email address is – jref@randi.org – if you want him on the show, please let him know.
If we interview Mr. Randi, these are the questions we’re going to ask him:
James, for over 40 years, you have been exposing some of the world’s most famous TV evangelists, healers and “psychics” – who would you say is your top 10 greatest exposes of all time and why?
Why are you so determined to expose or disprove the presence of anything six sense or paranormal among these types of individuals?
Have you ever met anyone whom you felt genuinely had true psychic ability and have you ever had a psychic reading before?
James, please explain to our listeners your one million dollar challenge to anyone who can prove to you the existence of paranormal activity? What are your guidelines?
Have you ever seen a ghost of investigated a haunted house? If you had a paranormal experience could the owner of the house receive a million dollars?
Even though you are a skeptic, have you ever broken wind in the presence of your family and blamed it on a ghost?
In human history, there have been famous battles. David Vs. Goliath, Ali Vs Frasier and Randi Vs Slyvia Brown & Theresa Cauputo. Please explain why you went after these two famous psychics so hard?
Do you feel that Long Island Medium Theresa Caputo is an obstruction to genuine progress on the study of psychic & paranormal phenomenon?
Let’s discuss belief patterns: If a person believes that there no afterlife and is not open to the idea of the six sense, even if it were proven to them that the afterlife & six sense there’s a strong they wouldn’t believe or accept because they didn’t have the capability of doing so. If a person has set beliefs and they either aren’t open to other idea or refuse to accept new ideas, aren’t they destined to never go beyond them?
At this moment in linear time, there is evidence that the world is the verge of an economic collapse. The signs are just as clear to how it will happen as the signs that you point out James on why some psychics are to be doubted. The reason I bring that up is because if masses refuses widen their perception of reality, then couldn’t that be a reason why can’t perceive the neither the paranormal and neither true scientific reasoning?
“Our brain processes 400 billion bits of information per second, but we are only aware of 2,000 bits at any one time – usually information about our environment, body, and time.” – quote from 2004’s “What The Bleep Do We Know”
James, we’ve studied brainwaves – various states: alpha, delta, beta. There is some research now which states that genuine psychic phenomenon can be identified when the brain is oscillating a particular spend or in a particular state. Our old teacher actually said if could get your brain waves down oscillating to a delta state while being awake, you’d be a prime position to experience and perceive psychic phenomena. Have you ever done explored this?
Have you get had a gut feeling or a hunch before?
Are you familiar with DMT or Ayahausca and if so, have you ever tried it or known people who have?
What do you think god is and do think that god isn’t so much a supreme being but, the possible the sum of million of trillions of separate living beings? We have a ton of red blood cells in our bodies and yet while each one is individual they comprise our one body so why can’t that potentially apply to us being god?
About James Randi
James Randi has an international reputation as a magician and escape artist, but today he is best known as the world’s most tireless investigator and demystifier of paranormal and pseudoscientific claims. Randi has pursued “psychic” spoonbenders, exposed the dirty tricks of faith healers, investigated homeopathic water “with a memory,” and generally been a thorn in the sides of those who try to pull the wool over the public’s eyes in the name of the supernatural.
He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including a Fellowship from the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation in 1986 for his work in investigating claims of the supernatural, occult, and paranormal powers—in particular his exposures of TV evangelist/healers and of “psychics” such as Uri Geller. He received a grant of $272,000 to assist him in these continuing endeavors. He hosted The Randi Show on WOR-Radio, New York City, and has appeared on numerous TV series and specials throughout the world. He has taught at New York University and at Brookdale Community College in New Jersey, was 1984 Regents Lecturer at the University of California at Los Angeles, and has conducted several seminars at other colleges.
